Bible Verses on Being a Man
Here are 8 Bible verses on being a man. They’ve stood the test of time and so they’ll work for you.
In the past men were taught to be men by their fathers and grandfathers. However, you and I have primarily been raised by the internet.
Use these Bible verses and commentary to find your own path. As you figure out what your path is, everything will click for you in an instant.
Bible Verses on Being a Man
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
This Bible verse is an example of what’s happening right now. You came here looking for something. That something was on how to be a man.
I’m giving you my experience aka “iron sharpening iron”. You’re going to walk away from this article sharper than you are now.
Whether that be figuring out our vision, giving yourself permission, or making money on your own terms.
Every article here is will sharpen your iron.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
1 Corinthians 13:11
Look around you and you see people in their 20’s and 30’s still acting like children. They focus on getting through the workday, drinking on their days off, and making enough money to pay their monthly bills.
In other words, they never took responsibility for their life. Instead, they let the world around them dictate their life.
That worked when you were 12 and maybe even 18, but it’s time to wake up. Open your eyes and realize it’s all on you.
You’re responsible for your place in life, your body, and your mind. No magic pill or life hack will take responsibility for you.
If you rely on a Magic Pill you’ll end up like my friend’s dad. And believe me, you don’t want to be like him.
He’s in his 60’s and has spent the last 40 years in and out of rehab. When all he had to do is take responsibility for himself and put in a little effort.
So man up in your life. Sit down and figure out what/why you’re doing what you’re doing. There’s no reason to go another day without knowing why you’re doing what you’re doing.
To get you started I’ll offer you a gift at the end of this article. It changed my life and I’m giving it to you for free.
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
In a video, I made a while back I talked out taking joy in the process. Whether that be working your 9-5 as you build a side-hustle or whether that be hitting the gym.
I see so many people being careless and weak with the important stuff. The only time they get serious is when they want a new phone or when playing a video game.
Even I was like that at one point. I cared far more about enjoying myself than in manifesting my vision.
When I conducted business it was always with a weak and sloppy attempt.
Back in high school, I ran a computer repair business. I was so careless that I took 5 days to respond to a client.
Even worse I didn’t do my research on how to properly protect myself and set up my business pro from the go.
These issues ended up forcing me to close down that business. But you know what? I learned a lot from that experience.
I vowed to NEVER lose like that again. Now when I do anything I pay close attention to the details. When I make a decision I am firm.
And one Hell of a great time as I do it.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9
My longtime readers know that I’ve eaten a lot of shit to get where I am now. I’m talking being so broke that buying a gallon of water would ruin me.
I’ve had times where bills were due in 2 days and my account balance was only $24. Instead of giving up or getting scared, I worked.
Now I don’t have to worry about money.
The same will happen to you if you stand firm. No matter what you’re going through right now it’ll be over soon.
Look at it as a test. If you pass the test then you get whatever you want. But if you fail, well I don’t think you’d be reading this article.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.
Psalms 37:23
The reason the concepts from Think and Go Hustle work is simple. By the end of the book, you are sure of what you’re doing.
You know what to do and why you’re doing it.
The only reason that you feel doubt and uncertainty is because you haven’t planted your feet on the ground fully.
Maybe you’ve put one foot down, but that’s not good enough. If you’re committed then you have to firmly put both feet down.
When you finally do this, things will start working for you. Opportunites will come and before long you’ll be in a different reality.
Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.
Proverbs 22:29
I get asked every week how I was able to work with Victor Pride and Ed Latimore before “making it”.
To finally give people closure I’ll tell you my answer. I focused on my craft for 3 years straight. I lost friends, gave up every distraction, and experienced lonely nights.
With that kind of dedication, you can do the same. Because only the skillful man gets access to people like that.
I’ve got friends in the music business, Hollywood, and then nine to fivers. They all share a similar quality.
They focus on one craft and become the best.
So no matter what you do, be the best. That’s why it’s so crucial to create your script. That way you ensure that you’re working on what matters.
Otherwise, you’ll just waste your time away each day.
FOR THE MAN READY TO BUILD INSTEAD OF DRIFT
Skill before kings doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because
a man picked one craft, sat with it daily, and refused to quit
when it got boring.
Most men can’t even pick the craft. They want to be skillful but
they keep jumping fields.
I built a workbook for that exact problem.
It’s called From Broke to Building. 30 days. 8 Bible verses on
wealth, work, and diligence. One verse, one daily action, one
journal session at a time. Until you stop being the man who reads
about being a man and start being the man who builds like one.
It’s the system Proverbs 22:29 is describing. Just on paper, in
your hands.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
1 Peter 5:8-9
Doubt, fear, and every other negative thing in your head want to destroy you. If you lack a firm plan backed up by faith, you don’t stand a chance.
Instead focus on confidence, love, and being assertive. With those kinds of thoughts and actions, nobody can stop you.
Also, don’t let yourself feel like you’re all alone because you aren’t. You’re surrounded by people just like you trying to make something of themselves.
My newsletter is for Christian men looking to build a business and life.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
James 1:6-8
Man back in the day I was tossed around like a rag doll. I never really sat down and thought about what I wanted.
I’d think about what I was eating for dinner or where I was taking my girl this weekend. But I never thought about how to think.
I didn’t have faith in myself and doubted myself in the simplest things. Even talking to customers caused me anxiety.
As I figured things out I was able to turn being introvert into something great. Being an introvert allowed me to become good at selling.
If I was able to do it, you can as well. Use these Bible verses on being a man. They are principles that have worked and will continue working.
Start training yourself to have faith in what you’re doing. It can be something as simple as walking your dog.
Start building up the thought process of faith. KNOW that you can walk your dog. Then apply that to every decision that you make.
THEN and ONLY THEN will you stop being tossed around by life. You will become the man that you want to be.
THE NEXT MOVE FOR THE MAN READY TO ACT
You read 8 verses on what it means to be a man. Iron sharpens
iron. Put away childish things. Be strong and courageous. Stand
before kings. Resist the devil. Ask in faith.
Now answer me honest. What are you doing tomorrow morning that
matches?
For most men, nothing. The verses hit, the article ends, the day
swallows it. The boy version of them runs the next 24 hours.
I built a workbook to break that pattern.
It’s called From Broke to Building. A 30-day printable PDF that
takes 8 Bible verses on wealth, work, and diligence and turns
them into a daily plan you actually run instead of just nodding at.
- One verse expanded with my unfiltered take
- One daily action step per verse
- Journal prompts that force honest answers
- A 30-day calendar tracker you fill out by hand
- Weekly review pages and a Sunday-night alignment checklist
Built for the Christian man with a 9-to-5 he’s outgrowing or the
man already building online and feeling scattered.
The childish version of you reads the article and closes the tab.
The man you’re trying to become prints the workbook tonight and
runs Day 1 tomorrow.
We will talk again soon.
