Living in Los Angeles: The Land of Lambos and Mansions
Today I spent the day roaming around Beverly Hills. The roar of Lambo’s shook the ground around me. Ferrari’s zoomed by.
This is the life of the rich and powerful. They enjoy great cars, bodyguards, and everything that money can buy.
Instead of spending their lives being the footstool for other people, they use others to make their lives easier.
You turn on your TV or open a magazine and think about how great it would be to live like that.
They must know something that you don’t.
They seem to be confident and proud. People go out of their way to be acknowledged by them. Their life is one fit for royalty.
The Land of Lambos and Mansions
What if I told you that all of that wasn’t as great as you think it is? That if you get it, you won’t think much of it.
Having a Lambo is just like that toy that you just had to have. In your mind, once you had that toy your life would be complete.
That cute girl you wanted to date and fuck. Once you did she wasn’t as great as you thought she was.
This applies to everything in life.
Anything that you desire seems much better than it really is. In other words, it is the excitement that makes it so great.
Once you have it, you want something else. That is how life is and always will be. Accept this and change your focus to important things.
I’m not going to tell you what those things are.
For me, it is pushing the limits, and living a life of freedom. It doesn’t matter what it is for you.
Pick the things that are important to you and then move towards those with all of your focus.
Get the girls, the cars, and a mansion in Beverly Hills.
Just keep your focus always on building up what truly matters to you.
It has been said a million times that if you chase money, it will run away from you. The reason for that is that by chasing money you aren’t really going after what’s important to you.
I didn’t understand this until recently. If you’re chasing money you aren’t really going after what’s important to you.
The Process Vs Chasing
I spent years chasing many things. Finding my passion, the secret, and that one thing that would change it all.
I was left empty-handed every time.
You can say it was due to me being young and naive. In reality, I just lacked awareness. Awareness of how reality ACTUALLY works.
How does reality work you ask?
Starting when I was 17 all I wanted was to be my own boss. I thought that if I could be my own boss that I would finally be happy.
Every day I went to work and felt empty. I passed the day by thinking up what I was going to build.
How I was going to make my great escape.
Four years went by in the blink of an eye. Nothing changed. I switched jobs and gained 93 pounds.
Nothing seemed to be going my way. I always had just enough money to pay my bills.
To be honest I felt stuck. I thought I had to have everything planned out before I made my jump. But that isn’t how reality works.
Never has and never will.
Reality is how it is. That is until you change it.
You change reality by changing your actions.
Those 4 years stayed the same until I changed what I did. I put my 2-weeks notice in and then got to work.
Fast-forward to me writing this to you from ‘Sweet Beverly’s’ cafe, my life has changed. I’m now living the life that was once only in my head.
Earlier I said…
If you’re chasing money you aren’t really going after what’s important to you.
Let me elaborate.
There aren’t any secrets.
That one thing you’re looking for doesn’t exist.
All that exists is the vision that you want and you bringing it into reality. As you now know, you will only make your dreams a reality by changing your actions.
Here is how you will change your actions. First, you must change your thinking. Think and Go Hustle will show you how to do that.
Secondly, you must focus on the process and not the results.
If you focus on the results then you aren’t taking the actions that are creating your results.
It is the process that will bring you everything that you want. It was never the results. Results are nothing more than reality bending to your will.
Changing your mind will take time. It took me 3 years of almost total isolation and focus before I finally flipped the switch.
So enjoy the toys but always remember it is the process and not the results. Life becomes a game once you see reality for what it really is.
If you’re ready then learn the 9 skills every young man needs.
See you in the game.
You, my friend, understand the truth.
Chasing after money never seems to work, you only get paid when you chase after things that matter most and keep reaching goals. Money is just the reward.
Thank you brother! More fire coming.
I will talk more about it in an upcoming post. To fix feeling down you need to keep yourself busy. The best way is to create your script and then always be working towards it. Be around upbeat music as well.
You should always have goals. What you lack is a real purpose. You want the money and then you get it. You want the girl and then you get her. Find something that is bigger.
That quote is so fire…
If you’re chasing money you aren’t really going after what’s important to you.
Really enjoyed this piece, broski. It’s like after you released your book, you leveled up. Been loving the stuff you’ve put out lately. Keep it up.
Can u talk more about isolation? I’ve been on this path and feel alone. How can u do it without feeling down?
“Once you have it, you want something else. That is how life is and always will be. Accept this and change your focus to important things.””
Straight fire! Every time i get one goal I want something else. This made me feel like getting shit was meaningless. What do you think D? Is it meaningless or should I never be satisfied?
