The other day I received several comments from readers asking how I am able to go on 4 hours of sleep per night. In response to their questions I am writing this article as well as shooting a video. Continue reading and I will show you how to sleep less while doing more.

You sleep 7-10 hours per day. Not only is that a waste of time, but you don’t even need that much sleep. Well if you are average then you may require that much sleep every night. But hey you wouldn’t be reading the “Young Hustler’s Guide to Sleeping Less While Doing More” if you were normal would you?

Okay so you’ve heard for years that you must sleep for 8 hours every single night. That is complete BS! While I will not go into the exact science of why that is false, I will show you how you can go on 4 hours of sleep every night.

Why Young Hustlers Only Sleeps 4-6 Hours A Night?

It blows people’s mind that I only sleep 4 hours a night yet am able to be as productive as I am. The most sleep that I allow myself to have is 6 hours. Anything over that is just a waste.

If you are to be a Young Hustler you have to become more than average.

You must develop an Young Hustler Mindset that allows you to achieve more. Don’t be scared of your potential instead embrace it.

To answer the question of why a Young Hustler only sleeps 4-6 hours a night, it is because we don’t require it.

That is the real secret of why Young Hustler’s get more done in less time.Whether that be sleeping less and doing more or taking our limited income and creating abundance. As a Young Hustler you separate yourself from the masses by your actions only.

Warnings To Wannabe Young Hustlers…

Chances are these warnings don’t apply to you since you have found your way to Young Hustler, but I felt I should list them anyways. If they don’t apply then move on to the next section.

Warnings To Wannabe Young Hustlers:

  • If you expect to sleep less so that you can have more time for time-wasting activities then stop calling yourself an Young Hustler
  • If you want to achieve more but refuse to Believe In Yourself and Take Action then stop kidding yourself
  • If you are scared of be lonely in the beginning then STOP NOW and just remain a average

Heed these warnings. If you don’t, you will find yourself in a dark miserable place feeling disconnected from people. Being an Young Hustler is something that requires complete dedication.

The Importance of Sleeping Less That You May Not Realize

If you haven’t already grasped the general point of this article here it is. By sleeping less you are able to achieve more than the average person. While they sleep, you are doing something that makes you better.

Instead of sleeping in you are working on your body. You are making your mind and mindset hard as the Nemean Lions fur. You are working on your business while others are trying to get just a few more minutes before going to work.

Do you see the importance of sleeping less?

By following this guide you will not only be able to make yourself better, you will be able to do more. No more wasting time sleeping a few more hours. It is only the next action ahead that matters.

Every single day you are losing ground if you aren’t actively taking over more. You must manage your life as a King or General would. Remember that if you aren’t in charge then someone else is.

An Extra Hour or Two Can Change Your Life

Instead of waking up at 7:30AM you wake up at 5:30AM. Imagine the extra time that would allow you to work towards what you want in your life. Not only would you have more confidence in your life, but your success level would start going up dramatically.

By getting up an extra hour or two you can change your life within a short amount of time. You will find it easier to achieve your goals. Not only that, but people will be blown away with your results.

They only see you going about your normal life and working a few extra hours at night. Little do they know that this Young Hustler in training is also getting up before the rest of the average mans world.

Tomorrow I want you to set your alarm for 30 minutes earlier than you usually do. Keep subtracting time until you get to where you wake up an hour or two before you have to. By doing this I can guarantee (From Personal Experience) that you will finally start getting what you want in life. Of course only if you actually WORK and FOCUS!

The Basics of Sleeping Less While Doing More

how to sleep less and do more

When it comes down to it you must make sure your body and mind are taken care of. If those two things are taken care of you will be able to easily sleep 4-6 hours a night with no negative side-effects.

Here is a checklist of the basic things you must have in place before proceeding:

By having those three things in check you will be able to move on to the more advanced things to sleep less and do more. Simply following the above three basics you will be able to sleep much less than an average mortal.

Now For The Advanced Stuff…

Okay so you know the basics of sleeping less while doing more. You and I have covered the importance of sleeping less as well. You are now ready to move on to the more “Advanced Stuff”.

I am just warning you that this isn’t something that is groundbreaking. Most things in life are simple if executed on. So read this article and then execute!

As a Young Hustler you realize that action is all that matters. Want more money then take action. Want to live in another country then take action.

4 Things That Will Allow You To Sleep Less And Do More

Combine the basics to these four things and you will see results within a day. How’s that sound? Are you willing to bet on yourself?

Here they are…

 ZMA-

ZMA is something that I use from time to time. I will use ZMA for three weeks and then stop. The great thing about ZMA is that you can use it as much as you like. The reason I only take it for three weeks each time is because I don’t like to take something for a long time.

The only thing that I take consistently is Red-PCT. Before you buy ZMA do some research. ZMA will raise your testosterone and cause you to get more restful sleep.

I’ve tried 4 different ZMA’s and have found Cellucors P6 PM to work best.

Limit Alcohol Consumption-

You already know that alcohol is a poison. By consuming alcohol you slow your mind and body down. Not only that, but you also hurt your sleep process when you drink.

I’m not saying don’t ever drink. Believe me I pour up every once in a while. My favorite alcohol is Tequila, Red Wine, and occasionally Kombucha Fermented Tea.

All I am saying is to maximize the sleep that you are getting you must limit your alcohol consumption. Don’t be like everyone else and drink all of the time. Let them have their drinks while you have your gold and a beautiful woman.

Coffee or Green Tea-

Another “trick” that I use to get more out of my day is to drink Coffee and Green Tea. These two drink are not only good for you, but they can wake you up as well.  Don’t rely on them but for sure use these great tools.

My favorite Coffee is Red Coffee. The taste of Red Coffee is second to none. It is best when drank black.

As for Green Tea I just buy whatever the cheapest is at Walmart. Usually it ends up being Bigelow.

If you are a Coffee lover like I am you can get this Coffee Bundle from my friends at Red Supplements by clicking here.

The main thing is to go with whatever Coffee or Green Tea you enjoy the most and then use it as a tool. You will find your creativity and focus fly through the roof.

Create A Nightly Ritual-

Every night you should follow the same routine. Instead of just texting until you doze off or leaving things unfinished, I want you to create a nightly ritual. Having a nightly ritual is powerful.

When I follow my nightly ritual I am able to sleep like baby and wake up to crush the world. It may take you a few weeks to get down exactly what kind of nightly ritual is best for you, but act NOW.

Also, don’t forget to create a morning routine.

  1. Hey Israel, do you have any specific questions about marijuana? Example: breaking addiction, how it affects sleep, etc. May write up a post on it.

  2. Hello, you talked about alcohol in your article what about marijuana how do I deal with it

  3. Matt glad you found some helpful information in this article. I said to do what’s best for you. I’m not one of those guys that looks down on people for not doing what I do. If you need 8 hours then get it.

  4. gonna have to agree with you, also don’t like the way the author is condescending towards people who get more than 6 hours of sleep a night? also makes it seem that all olympians get less than 4-5 hours of sleep a night? are they all kobe bryant? throwing olympians in is just clickbait. regardless, there is some useful info in here.

also i agree with your idea of naps as neeeded throughout the day

  5. You sent a link to a political article. But on the subject of sleep. Do what you feel is best. For me I can go on 4 hours of sleep and be productive.

  6. Guys there are short sleepers, who only need 4 hours a night. It’s a genetical thing. Here is the new version of the article.

An Olympian’s Guide To Sleeping Less While Doing More:
    Have short sleepers genetics.

If you sleep 4 hours a night, but need 6-8 hours, you will not be able to use the extra hours efficiently.

There are billionaires who sleep 4 hours a night and billionaires who sleep 8 hours a night. The time you work a day is irrelevant to success. Productivity means doing more in less time and not do more in more time.

  7. Personally brother I can’t do it. I can’t think straight and my emotions get all fucked. I need to sleep at least 6.5 hours to function.

  8. Nice informative post. I actually believed the 8 hour rule religiously before this and on my quest through the internet to prove you wrong I actually found out that you are spot on ha ha. Thanks for the great content.

  9. Can you confirm whether you are a homosexual man?

  10. The effect of sleeping only a few hours a night is to
    impair long-term memory.

What sleeping 7-8 hours per night does is that helps consolidate learning that took place during the day and ensure transfer of fresh knowledge to our long-term memory. Sleeping too little over the long-them will impair vital neural connections in our brains

The guru and leadership expert advocating waking up everyday at 5.30 am is Robin Sharma. You can check out his website. He wrote articles on this topic.

  11. With everything I write, you must do what is best for you. For some 4 hours might not be sufficient while for others such as myself it is fine.

Moral of the article is to do what Average people refuse to do so that you can live how they wish. Also, I am no Guru and never want to be. I’m just someone who is living my life and turn it into content.

    Interesting comment.

  12. Dear Dylan, your articles are generally interesting, but i have to say i completely disagree with you on the importance of sleeping 4 hours a night to become an Olympian and reach our pinnacle of achievement professionally and personally. I am in fact a bit fed up with the claims of all these motivational gurus and so-called “experts” advocating the need to wake up at 5.30 am everyday and cut down on sleeping time.

The reality, as proven by scientific/medical literature is that most human beings need 7/8 hours of a full sleep cycle per night in order to function optimally. Our bodies need this amount of sleep to recharge and function well.

Of course, we can all survive on 6 hours, or even on 4 hours of sleep a night, but the quality of our work will suffer because of our less than optimal levels of concentration and memory retention. The quality of our work, or productivity will be greatly diminished, nothwithstanding the long-term negative effects on our mental and physical health resulting from little sleep.

I would also like to make a second point: we are all different, some of us function better in the afternoon and evenings, and others better in the mornings. There is no general golden rule or scientific rule saying that we should all be waking up at 5.30 am to maximize our efficiency.

There is finally the importance of taking short naps during the day. It is well-known for example that taking a 20 mn nap after lunchtime does wonders for our productivity and concentration.

  13. Dang 4 hours a night! Impressive. Ill try following what u mentioned..

  14. I agree with everything Dylan. The most powerful thing you mentioned is creating the Nightly Ritual.
