The Importance of Flow and How To Cure Being Pulled in Every Direction

Location: The Lion’s Den

Hey my friend it has been over a week since we last spoke. Let me ask you a question:

Do you ever feel as if you are pulled in every direction and can’t seem to get anything done? If so read on and let me tell you what causes it and how you can fix it…….

First let me tell you what made me write this for you.

I was getting a good bit of traffic and putting out  consistent content for you guys. I watched as the comments and subscribers increased. At that point I felt on top of my craft and on top of the world. Things were going well and then I started helping other bloggers, taking on more projects, and started worrying about how I could help even more people.

This led me to stop focusing on the two most important things:

  1. You
  2. This Blog

I am all for helping other bloggers, but when you are not getting equal value or if they aren’t grateful for your time then it is a waste of time.  I was helping even people out of my inner-circle, that will happen no more. Call me selfish, but I will no longer go out of my way to help any other blogger that is not in my inner-circle from this point on. Most people are just a waste of time since they will not change and will not follow what you tell them.

That is the sad reality of this world. You must be true to yourself and your tribe. All of those outside of your tribe are to not be helped unless you have some type of mutual agreement or alliance.

As I grew I started getting people interested in hiring me for freelance work. At first I would say yes to every offer that I got because I came from a place of scarcity. But no more of that. I realized that by me doing that I was limiting myself by over-loading my plate with projects that did not have any long-term benefit for you or for me.

You see my friend when you start taking on more and more things you start taking your focus off of what is important and that got you to where you are in the first place. If you do A and then get B, then why in the Hell would you do A, C, and then B?

It is all about Focus. Where your Focus goes is where your life goes. If you Focus on sleeping with girls then by law you will start sleeping with girls. If you Focus on making a great post then you will most likely create a great post that will change lives. If you Focus on getting stronger then you will start getting stronger.

Something that I learned from a good friend of mine is to go into Flow. I do not mean the cliché term, “Just go with the flow man it will work out.” If you were in a river that had a major drop, what would happen if you went with the flow?

That’s right you would fall to your death. It is the same concept with life.

When I say to Flow what I am talking about is doing what you must and then letting it come to you. For example if you want to get strong here is what you need to do:

  • Get a meal plan that is low in carbs, high in protein, and has a good source of fat.
  • Start hitting the gym 3-6 times a week.
  • Be consistent.

Once you have those 3 things down just Flow and let the results come to you. If you try to force things you will run yourself into the ground. I am living proof of that. You must do what is required and let the things that you desire to Flow to you. That is how you can get everything that you want. You can duplicate that method for anything in your life from money, girls, and power.

This leads me to the part of the post about how you can fix being pulled in different directions which will make your life better in many ways.

The simple solution is to say no often.

Can you help me setup this new blog?

No. Unless they are in your inner-circle or a member of your tribe.

Can you give me a ride to the mall?

No I have stuff to take care of.

As we discussed above being pulled in different directions not only causes mental confusion, but can also lead to your fall.

On your rise to the top you will be confronted with many problems from complacency, fake people, and time wasters. It is your job to decide where your time and focus goes.

You must develop a Solution Mindset and not let everyday problems distract you from what is truly important. It is not my place to tell you what is important to you. Becoming the best tennis player in the world could be important to you, but I have no interest in that.

Just like creating a blog that helps thousands of people become better than they are and reach their true potential is what I want, you could not have interest in that.

That doesn’t make you bad or lazy. It just means that it is not what you want. You see my friend we all have our own life and it is up to us to figure out what our destiny is.

I know that you are filled with self-doubt and feel like you do not know what you want. You have many questions such as:

  • What is my destiny?
  • What should I do with my life?
  • What do I really want?
  • What makes me worthy to have everything that I want?

Self-Doubt is normal and even people at the top experience it from time to time.

The difference between them and you is that they do not let it hold them back from what they want. They know that they can have their way with the world and not the other way around.

They say no to anything that does not benefit them or that will waste their time.

You need to look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what you really want. Don’t worry about what others will think because that is just your useless ego trying to defend your self-image.

You know what you truly want, but are scared to admit it. You want the money to be able to do as you please. You want the body that most people would kill for. You want the partner that other people water at the mouth for, but know that they have no chance to get because the partner knows they are with the best.

It is okay to create envy with your life. You want me to tell you why?

It will make people want to be like you. It will cause people to want to talk to you. It will allow you to be able to open more people’s eyes and add massive value.

Do not be scared of your greatness. You can be the best in the world at being you, but you must first kill your ego and Flow. There will be people who mock you and try to lower you.

They are coming from a place of scarcity and envy. Look at them and realize that their opinion is meaningless because they are not adding any value to your life and are nothing but a cockroach.

I will break down exactly what you need to do to eliminate being pulled in different directions:

  • Decide what you want.
  • Create a plan of attack.
  • Do what needs to be done.
  • Let it Flow to you.
  • Do not let anything distract you. Just Focus on what is important and don’t worry about anything extra.

This post might come across as being selfish and uncaring. That is because it is.

If you want to get what you want you must be selfish and not care about those who do not offer any benefit to you.

Does that mean that you need to screw others over to get what you want. No, because if you do that you will create more enemies than the stars.

That will will make it harder to get what you want. What you need to do is create an inner-circle where y’all help each other achieve goals. You need to build a tribe aka a readership.

Without your tribe you will not be able to build your empire. You must connect with like-minded people and then push out all of those people who do not serve a purpose to you.

That is why you must be selfish and uncaring my friend. Only care about your inner-circle and tribe and let all others fall. Be selfish so that you can get what you want instead of putting others ahead of yourself.

What will you change now that you know The Importance of Flow and How To Cure Being Pulled in Every Direction?

Focus on what is important and put your 100% Focus into whatever you are doing from moment to moment.

Until next time Go and Dominate Your Life.

Your friend,

  1. Sergie,
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us! Will definitely provide updates as well.

    Take care.

  2. Life is meant to be enjoyed. For years I tried to make it more complicated than it really was, but one day it dawned on me that I should just focus on what I want and let everything else fall into place. Since doing that I now enjoy life much more and can maintain an almost euphoric feeling for most of the day.

Awesome keep me posted I will check it out.

    Your friend,
    Sergie

  3. Seems like Bruce Lee put out many books, all of which sound pretty resourceful to me.

You’re right, definitely cutting out the drama of life is one of the best things you can do. It causes stress and anguish and that is another thing you don’t need, especially for the long term.

I did see that, thanks for checking it out. There will be more to come about tea!

  4. A good friend of mine recommended that book some time ago. Since you mentioned it I will have to check it out.

You would be amazed at how much your life would improve simply by cutting out the unessential parts of your life. It gives you more time to focus on your projects and then also eliminates most drama if not all of it out of your life.

I took a look at your site and I like the layout. Also, I enjoyed reading this post on tea.

  5. Always a pleasure, Sergie. But hey man, you’re the one writing this great material and helping bring all of these people together. Keep it up, you’re doing great!

Yeah, I feel the same way. If effort is dispersed over multiple projects, the quality can lack. Not saying yours does, but the task is not given your full attention. I can definitely relate to trying to do more as well. I recently read something about Bruce Lee’s fundamentals of life. One that really stuck out and altered my thinking is doing a way with less and removing the unessential. We always try to find more to do, but maybe we should start taking things out of our lives, creating more of a balance and naturally, more time to do what we want.

I’m continuing on with the vibe man, thanks for the inspiration! Always more to come with my site too. Look forward to more content on WOTO!

  6. Thank you for your kind words Jacob. I intend to change lives with WOTO while also building a community of achievers.

With me personally I try to only work on a set number of things at a time otherwise I will not put out as much quality as I normally would. At times I try to take on too many projects and commitments, but have to take a step back and focus on the what is important to me.

That is a great vibe to be in brother keep at it! Eliminate that which doesn’t serve your purpose and just focus. I look forward to seeing what you make happen. Keep me posted.

    Regards,
    Sergie

  7. Awesome post, Sergie! I’m honest man, this is really a deep, insightful and helpful post!

I know that you mentioned changing lives in here with content as an example, you are doing that for sure. I also like the attitude and energy of your writing, my friend. It’s a very strong, take hold of your life type of vibe.

You’re completely right about focus. Your focus is a finite amount of energy within you and this should only be placed on beneficial activities. The more you focus on something, the larger it grows and sort of flows into your life, just as you mentioned about the concept of flowing.

I’m in this type of vibe right now where I’m just solely focused on what I need to do to get my site out there and reach others and building a powerful resource. I feel like I have been pulled in many directions lately and only now am I working to stay 100% focused and not being pulled. Thanks again, amazing content man!

  8. Thanks for the reply Antonio. Yeah to get what you want you must be “selfish”, but still have morals. Also, thank you for your words about my writing all I can say is that the best is yet to come.

  9. Sergie, I can say that is the best post on your page so far. I really like your writing and your evolving in this field. When I look back at your first article and compare it with this article…Holy shit man! So much improvement can be noticed. You are on the right path just don’t get lost. You will reach your goals.

Sorry for those words that are not realated directly to this article but I’ve just needed to say that. Focus is a great thing but I think it is useless if we don’t have a direction, a plan. You cannot focus if you don’t have a goal to focus on. As you said, first, decide what you want. You want to go somewhere but you don’t know where you want to go..Isn’t it stupid? Second, create a plan. Plan is really important because it saves you a lot of time and energy. With a great plan you can succeed. I also like that you have adopted a ‘selfish’ mindset. It is a mindset of success.

  10. Great post Sergie. I struggle with being pulled in all directions sometimes – balancing all those various elements in life often amounts to the same as “multi-tasking”: you do everything badly.

Far better to focus on one or two things and do them to the best of your ability. Then too, when you want to spend time with friends or family or helping out people beyond your inner circle, you can do so without guilt or wasted time because you know you have got your life in the proper order.
