The Difference Between You Now and Where You Want to Be?
Subject: The Difference Between You Now and Where You Want to Be?
Right now you’re full of dreams, hopes, and desires. You think about them daily. Write about them.
Obsessing over it.
Yet when you look at your real life, it isn’t anywhere close to resembling your dreams.
So you obsess some more, hope more, and years pass by.
What if I told you that is the trap?
That by you dreaming and hoping you’re keeping yourself stuck.
Always seeming so close to a breakthrough, but never getting one.
This is the fate of most of you reading this. However, my words aren’t for those people.
My words are for the few who will understand the meaning behind this blog.
Maybe you are one of the few.
Let me tell you a secret. I call it a secret because while it’s known, hardly anyone wakes up to the meaning.
There is a version of you in another reality.
Living the exact life you want.
Waking up in a world they’re excited about.
Getting paid for their skills instead of their time traded.
With a beautiful girlfriend who is loyal.
Small group of great friends.
Everything you now want, this person has.
The only difference between you now and where you want to be?
This version of you decides to make a plan, follow through with it, and show up everyday.
The days you decide to take it easy, this version is steady at work.
They days you allow your emotions to zap your energy, this version is calmly working.
The days you allow yourself to skip working out, this version does at least pushups and curls.
It’s this little bit of extra effort over time which separates both relates.
Confining you to the life you live instead of enjoying the life you want.
Instead of understanding this simple difference. Most people spend their days thinking about the work that needs doing.
Distracting themselves with drugs, mindless content, and nights out.
All to keep lying to themselves a bit longer.
Wake up now friend.
The life you want is happening now. Not in some distant vague dreamland. All you have to do is go out and live it.
You’ve waited long enough.
Your life is now.
Your friend,
Dylan Madden
