How To Impose Your Will On Reality
Many people have mentioned Imposing Your Will On Reality, but few have went into detail. This article is for anyone who wants to read up on exactly how to impose your Will on reality. Don’t worry I won’t bore you with Self-Help nonsense.
Where Does This Idea Come From?
Table of Contents
I first learned about it from Napoleon Hill’s book, “Think And Grow Rich”.
In that book you learn about the importance having control over your thoughts.
Later when I found the website Danger and Play, I heard Mike make a comment about how to be a Man means to “Impose Your Will On Reality”.
That statement struck a cord with me.
I had believed that, but had never heard someone put it like that.
As I started Taking Action in my life I started seeing a common theme:
When I imposed my Will on reality, things worked out how I wanted them to!
Not only did they work out, but it would be better than I had imagined.
In this article I am going to show you how you can apply two simple things to your life and start Dominating in life every single day.
Before we continue here are the two things you need to Dominate in life:
- Believe In Yourself
- Take Action
Let’s continue…
Self-Help = Crap
What?? Blasphemy!
No I really mean it, Self-Help really is crap.
The Self-Help industry targets weak-minded and desperate people and sells them false hope.
They claim that all you have to do is feel good and everything that you desire in life will fall into your life.
Well, that sounds amazing, doesn’t it?
Of course and you and I know, that isn’t how this Unorthodox World works.
In this world, you must impose your Will on reality.
You must Take Action.
People are waking up to the fact that you can’t just feel good to get what you want.
Instead, you actually have to go out and work for it.
Don’t get me wrong…
I do believe that Affirmations and other techniques work, but at the end of the day you must go out and work for what you want.
I will do an article on the Self-Help industry one day, but for the time being there are only 2 books that I will recommend.
If you want the real deal then buy both of those books.
Now let’s move on…
The Two Keys To Imposing Your Will On Reality
You and I talked about the two keys which allow you to impose your Will on reality earlier.
The two Keys are:
- Believing In Yourself
- Taking Action
In each article that I make you will see a common theme.
I tell you that to Believe In Yourself and Take Action.
The reason I repeat this throughout most of my articles is because that is all you need to do.
Yes, there are other techniques that you can do, but they just enhance the two keys.
Without the two keys, you will not achieve anything in life.
I don’t care if you are wanting to land a dream job, get a Good Girl, or make money on your terms.
If you don’t at least have these two Keys you won’t get very far.
Instead of becoming an Olympian, you will fade into the Darkness that comes with being a Mortal.
Let Me Tell You A Story…
This story is based on my experience with Imposing My Will On Reality.
Here it goes:
Over two years ago my life was boring and lacked any real meaning.
I had seen a little success in MLM and other side businesses.
Not long before that, I had gotten out of a terrible relationship.
Needless to say, I was beaten and tired.
I finally hit rock bottom when I realized that I had wasted much of my young life stressed about meaningless things.
Luckily I perform best when I am up against a wall.
It is my deep-rooted Pride that keeps me moving.
Needless to say, I was broke..beaten..and a miserable person.
After looking at myself in the Mirror, I realized that I had to change.
Nobody was there to hold my hand.
It was just me and the vast Unknown.
I decided that I was the only person that I could rely on.
Mommy and Daddy couldn’t help me.
Even the gods could not come to my aid.
I took what little belief I had in myself and set out into the Unorthodox World.
I created a list of goals that I had and started accomplishing them day by day.
The results came in slowly but surely.
My life didn’t magically change overnight.
It took up to this current moment in time.
Every time I took Action, I moved a little closer to my vision for my life.
(FUN FACT: What you do now will determine what your life will look like a week, month, and year from now)
Now a little over two years later my life has vastly changed.
But guess what?
I’m still Taking Action.
I am grateful for everything that I have, but I am not yet satisfied.
There is still work to do and achievements to Dominate.
By Imposing My Will On Reality I have been able to alter my life.
I went from…
- Being Lonely
- Broke
- Miserable
- Little Confidence
- No Purpose
To
- Having Great Friends
- Making Money on My Terms
- Living in Los Angeles
- Increased Confidence
- Living My Purpose Everyday
The great news of my story is that you to can change your life.
All you must do is Believe In Yourself and Take Action.
There is nothing that makes me more capable than you are.
Dylan Madden is just a young guy who Believes In Himself and Takes Action every day to get what he wants.
It is really that simple.
Closing Thoughts
You must depend on yourself in this Unorthodox World.
Even your best friend can’t give you what you want.
To get what you want in this world you must do what you need to do.
Instead of sitting around waiting for everything to fall into your lap, you can go out and Impose Your Will On Reality.
There are countless resources out there for you to get whatever knowledge you need.
No longer do you need to depend on the Government or Bossman to take care of you.
You can work and live life on your terms.
Do not give up, for giving up is giving up on yourself.
We will speak again soon.
Until Next Time Go And Dominate.
Your Friend,
Dylan Madden

You’re welcome Liv!
Thank you, Dylan! This is the kind of «kick in the butt» that I need from time to time. I’m coming out of a rough patch that wore me down badly, an encounter with a psychopath that turned my life upside down and destroyed my confidence. This is the kind of encouragement I need. Thanks!
Can’t agree more. Keep at it!
Glad you liked it Christian! Expect more.
Spitting mad truth like always! Keep up the enlightenment!
No doubt, brother. It’s in the action that we move forward. It’s in the belief that we find the courage to do so.
Great comment David. I am glad to see you believed in yourself and took action. Keep pushing!
Thanks for book recommendations, I will check them out.
Damn, Dylan. This is a great post. Not even kidding. So on point in so many ways. I will say that I agree with you on the self-help being garbage with one caveat…there is a lot of “woo” in that industry and definitely a ton of trash in the industry. However, there are also very many great books, audios and videos on the matter that provide amazing content that, if applied, would change anyone’s life for the better. Personally, I am a high school drop out. People have told me I am “well educated”, “very smart” ect. The fact of the matter is that I read books starting in 2010 that took me down a whole new path of self-development. I read books on manhood, relationships, sales, people skills, leadership and even things about the spoken word. I subscribe to the thought process that everyone can learn at least one thing from anyone or anything. Meaning, even if the book was garbage, I can at least get one thing out of there that will help me. If the book was too bad, I wouldn’t even finish it. Ask anyone from my past what I would amount to in the future and most would tell you I would be dead or in jail before I was 27. Hell, even I thought that was the case. Here I am about to turn 34 and I have an amazing wife, a great outlook on life and I am an earner at what I specialize in. I have launched a few businesses that failed and I am proud of the lessons I took away from them and will use those as stepping stones to launch the next one. The bottom line is your two keys, they are absolutely right. Keep on grinding. I have enjoyed watching your blog progress.
Also, a few books worth checking out are How to Have Power and Confidence in Dealing with People, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Master Key to Riches (Napoleon Hill), & The Magic of Thinking Big.
Wow you have a powerful story Jose. I didn’t know all of that about you. Thank you for sharing.
I’m glad you liked the post, it meant a lot for me to be able to write it.
Keep pushing!
Imposing your will on to reality is what a person must do to get the things he or she wants from life. I have used this term for myself as well and it has helped me achieve and get to where I’am now.
I know people who are friends and even family who complain constantly about their position in life and such. When I tell them that in order to have a frutiful life that they need to just do what they want they look at me all crazy and shit.
Imposing your will on reality does work and its something that everyone can do once they feel that they are ready for change. For me it started when I was a teenager. Shy, quiet at times i felt as if I was invisible and very few friends in school if any! I was the loner back then. As time came I was looking for change and had a person who was there for me since the beginning, and that man is my Father.
By watching him I learned to impose my will on reality and build something of my own. From his actions I learned that In order for me to change I needed to push out what i wanted come hell or high water! So i went ahead and joined the service after High School. During that time I learned about cultures, societies and of course building confidence and pride which helped in getting the ladies. My life changed for the better from that time! I worked in Sales which helped me get used to talking to strangers from all walks of life and to build a very thick skin.
I was able to buy my own car brand new from the lot under my own name and always had at least 200 to 300 dollars in cash in my pocket. I lived well but that was not enough! I decided to go to College as well and get me a degree since at the time I had friends who were in IT and they were getting paid so got my GI Bill and went to get that degree! I’m also a leader of men as I’m also in charge of a group of young men who are also building! I tell them about this all the time when we huddle together and talk. I tell them that they should never be satisfied with their position in life.
I went from Sales to IT where I was able to grow and progress more. I moved from the Bronx to the suburbs where I met my wife got married and have two kids one who is in college the other is still in grade school. I live a good life now but I’m still not satisfied as I feel i need to do more.
My next goal is to start a business! Don’t know what as of yet as I’m looking into many things. But its in the works!
Personally I feel that imposing your will on reality is a life long thing and not something that is temporary as we should never be satisfied with where we are even if you are where you want to be.
I look back at my life from back then and compare to many people in my age group I have accomplished more than a major lot of them. I walk with confidence with my head up high as i feel confident!
I do think Self Help does work the problem is that we are looking at it from a wrong point of view. Self Help only works if you put to work the ideas that they put forth. Just reading it is not enough you have to live it! At least for me the concept of positive and negative mindset it only worked because i put imposed it on my reality and it has worked for me. I guess it depends on how you look at it. I find it as a way to look into yourself and learn about why you are here.
Anyway I guess I wrote a whole post on this matter and the phones here at work are ringing off the hook so I better get back to work!
Impose your reality Dylan and your life will change for the better!
Great post bro!
