What Separates You From Trump and the Guy Cleaning the Bathroom?
You’re sitting there enjoying your coffee. On your Twitter feed you see talk of the latest Trump accomplishment. To your left you see a man in his 30’s cleaning the bathroom. What separates the three of you?
Your life is full of tons of information coming at you 24/7. From text messages, Instagram models, to Twitter rants.
You’re searching for your way in this simple yet complex world. You’re on the road to riches but feel stuck in traffic at times.
Over the years you’ve bought books, read articles, and tried that mind hack. Each thing you find seems to be that Magic Pill you’ve been searching for.
Yet you keep finding yourself in the same place. In your eyes you haven’t accomplished anything. You’ve just wasted your time and money.
But let me be honest with you…
If you have invested in yourself and put in work, you are above average. Few people will even put in an hour a day into themselves.
Personally I feel that you should be putting in a minimum of 2 hours a day towards your vision. The more you put in, the more you get out.
Be smart, have a specific goal, and then adapt as you go.
You feel motivated but then you think about people such as Trump. They seem to have everything together.
You look at their social-media and see them in the Bahamas sipping on Margaritas. What you don’t see is the insanity that goes into doing what they do.
Your favorite person in the world still has their own set of challenges to deal with.
I mentored a kid that is a part of a rich family. He is getting 10 million dollars once he turns 18 years old.
You hear that and think he has it made. What you don’t see is that his dad died in a car wreck and his moms a no good drug addict.
Don’t look at people as better off than you. We are all on our own journey and dealing with our own set of challenges to be overcome.
Think back to the guy to your left cleaning the bathrooms. Here you are enjoying your day reading this article as he’s wiping down toilets and scrubbing floors.
At this moment your life is as great as Trump or any other successful person. You are healthy and able to pursue whatever path that you want for yourself.
Do yourself a favor and separate yourself from Trump and the guy cleaning the bathroom. You are different and in your own lane.
You have different gifts and talents than everyone else around you. Right now you can make changes that only Trump can dream of.
Focus on yourself and learn to hustle.

Thank you Connor. I don’t understand people like that. They want XYZ but won’t put in the time. You have to pay the price for what you want.
Great article Dylan.
People always sit about moaning they’ve not accomplished much. Then when you ask them how much time they put into XYZ they’ll say “uuhhh bro you know I don’t have time like that!”.

^ my favourite part. Do your own shit for you!
Very true Jordan. Developing your listening skills is a big factor in not only hearing people but also solving their problems.
Something else to learn is No-mind.
Perspective is an important skill to master. It’s easy to believe that others have everything going well for them, but it’s impossible to know everyone’s life story.
This is why especially in today’s easy access to self gratification, people need to spend time actually “listening” to others. We’re all so caught up in our own problems that when we’re speaking with others we won’t give them their full time and attention.
Oh yeah! Glad you stopped by Calm and Collected. Side-note: That cafe was one of my favorites in LA but only had two spots with an outlet. You’d think they’d have dozens.
Intelligentsia coffe. We only talked for a few minutes since you were busy.
Jog my memory. No I am in Charleston, SC.
Hey Dylan I met you at the cafe in Venice. It’s cool to see what you’ve done. Still live in la??
