How To Be Comfortable With Just Being
Yesterday I was walking down Venice Beach when I realized something.
Most people as they walk around have hundreds of thoughts going around in their head. Thoughts of work yet to be done. Thoughts of what this or that person thinks about them. It’s very easy to think those thoughts actually matter but in reality they don’t mean anything.
Those kind of thoughts dull your mind. By filling your mind with hundreds of thoughts you won’t have any brain power left to make big things happen. That is what holds people back.
All that matters is this current moment in time. This very moment that you’re reading this is all that matters. Stop thinking about finding the truth of how this world works and stop thinking about anything but this article.
You aren’t gonna figure anything out unless you can clear your mind. I gave up trying to figure out the truth of this world long ago. The truth is that there isn’t any absolute truth. Some blow themselves up for God and others give away their material possessions. At the end of the day none of that really matters.
All that matters is the here and now. Once you are able to be in the moment you will have a secret power that most don’t. You will have a clear head and will walk confidently with your head high.
As I was walking I found myself thinking about future plans. I found myself thinking about success and other minor details of life. Things that meant absolutely nothing at that current time.
How could I bring things into reality at that current moment? I was walking down a beach enjoying the night, yet somehow thought thinking about the future could change it.
This is something that we all are guilty of. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t bad to think about the future. But there’s a difference between plotting and just fantasizing.
If you are plotting, plan and then execute. If you’re fantasizing then you’re just wasting time. There is no time to waste in the world of business, life, and transcendence.
Where you are right now is nothing compared to where you’ll be in a month, three months, or a year. Right now I’m at a whole other level, but I’m not anywhere near where I’ll be in a few months.
Why?
The answer is simple because I will take daily action and focus. Instead of being in my head, I will be in the moment. Each moment is a moment I will use to advance my ultimate plan. My vision for this world is still unfolding.
The best way to be comfortable with just being is to have something you’re working on. Have a mission or something that you can put your complete being into. For me it is being the best version of myself and to keep moving. I refuse to stay in the same place in life.
I look at my family and they are doing the same thing. Working, family, and living in the same city. There isn’t anything wrong with that, but I don’t want any of it.
I want to travel and move from place to place. Instead of settling for a below average girl, I want the one I really want. People call me selfish and crazy for wanting what I want. Heck my dad thinks that I sound insane.
But do you think this stops me?
No and it shouldn’t stop you. You can be whatever you want in this world. You can be a nice guy that gets ran over or you can be a nice guy that gets what he wants. You can be an undersexed bro or a strong-handed pimp.
It don’t matter what you want. Just stop being in your head and start taking action. Something I read a while back said to take so much action that you override your thinking brain. Whoever said that was right on.
Here’s what I want you to do. Sit down and eliminate all distractions. Now get out at pen and write down what you want your life to be like. From there write down what is keeping you from living like you want.
Now you see clearly what is holding you back. You can now go full force after what you want. No excuses or setbacks.
I did that very thing and it helped me immensely. What took me years to “figure” out was accomplished within months of me writing it down. You have to put it on paper and then take action.
That’s all I did and that’s all you’re gonna do. From there the rest will be history and you’ll send me an email thanking me. Better yet you’ll send me a picture of you living the life that you want. I don’t need any thanks. All I want is to see with my own two eyes you living how you want.
The next time you find yourself not being comfortable just being, refer to your mission. Your mission will bring you into reality. Once you realize that all you have to do is your mission and nothing else, life becomes simple.
I’m a simple guy and I want my plan of attack to be simple. You can make it as complicated as you want, but the simple plans usually work better.
Tune in next time for some more…
