How to Change Your Reality in a Matter of Months
This morning I woke up to an email from a Young Hustler. Like most young guys he wants to start a side-hustle.
I am writing this for him and everyone else that relates to his email. This article is a blueprint for how to change your reality in a matter of months.
Good day Dylan,
My name is HIDDEN and I’m in South Africa.
I wanna start a side hustle but ii have no money, ii do know exactly what ii wanna do but I’m also struggling to put together a solid proposal for the people ii wanna approach, how do ii go about this?? I’ve tried looking around for help but no one believes in me, so as soon as ii tell them what ii wanna do, they laugh at me and end up not helping me.
Please help.
If we break down your situation here’s what we’re looking at.
- You are broke
- You want to start a side-hustle
- You don’t know what you want to do
- You can’t put a proposal together
- Nobody believes in you
These circumstances sound bigger than they really are. In my own experience, I’ve changed my reality in a matter of months.
I went from $142 in my bank account to having plenty of money. The same will happen for you if you follow what I’m about to layout.
You are broke- Being broke sucks and is a big energy drain. I’ve been there before and so I know exactly what you’re going through.
What you need to do at this time is get a job. Find a part-time job in your area to get some money coming in. Until you’ve got money coming in you won’t be able to put any money into your side-hustle.
Whenever I first quit my job, I drove for UBER for several months before my Groundskeeping side-hustle manifested itself.
Take your pride out of this. Just because you’ve got a job doesn’t mean you’ll be stuck there forever.
Once you’ve got a job start simplifying your life. Cut out any extra expenses and then save as much cash as you can.
Combining all of this you should solve your money problem in a relatively short amount of time.
In the meantime here are 5 ways to stay motivated when your money is low. Open up that article and read it once you’re done with this one.
You want to start a side-hustle- Once you’ve got your money situation taken care of starting a side-hustle will be much easier.
At the most basic level, a side-hustle is nothing more than filling a demand. Look around where you live at what people need.
From there create a side-hustle around that need.
Here is a list of ideas to get you started:
- Catering business
- Craigslist/eBay
- Service-based business
I will be talking more about side-hustles in the near future. For now, you can read this article where I go into more detail on them.
You don’t know what you want to do- You don’t know what you want to do because you’ve never done anything before.
I fell into that trap as well. Once you’ve got your money situation under control and have started your side-hustle, you’ll know what to do.
You can’t put a proposal together- Friend you can’t put a proposal together because you don’t have any idea what you’re doing…yet.
After your money situation is taken care of and you’ve got a side-hustle, you’ll then be able to craft a proposal.
Nobody believes in you- This point and being broke are your two biggest issues to solve. I understand you want people to believe in you.
But I’ll be honest with you. Nobody is going to believe in you until you believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself then why should they?
People only believe in someone once that person believes in what they’re doing. The reason I’m able to paint the vision for people comes down to my belief.
I can see clearly what is possible and then I simply tell them how I see it. They pick up on my confidence and are able to see the vision how I see it.
So if you want people to believe in you then you MUST start believing in yourself. Once you believe in yourself, everything else will fall into place.
Opportunities will present themselves and then all you’ll have to do is take them. Now I don’t know how low your confidence is. But obviously, you believe in yourself since you emailed me in search of help.
Here is what will give you the confidence that you need:
- Get money coming in from your job
- Learn the Art of Being Yourself
- Keep at least $500 in cash where you can see it
- Brainwash yourself
- Accomplish 3 things daily that push you forward
- Make peace with the Beast of the Void
There’s your gameplan brother. Follow it and within a matter of months, you’ll be living in a reality far different from your current reality.
You friend,
Great advice PJ. B&D is what showed me the way before I found my own path.
Tell him also to read full BoldAndDetermined.
Two times.
And tell also this young lad that he can make some good money (but he will need to work hard) at Fiverr.
In others carnivals (aka many moons ago) I made good money there.
