Most people are doing prayer completely wrong.
If you’re living in worry, stress, and constantly praying out of fear? You’re not praying you’re panicking.

What Is Real Prayer?
Table of Contents
Real prayer is a conversation, not a crutch.
It’s not some emotional ritual where you cry to the sky hoping someone hears you. It’s not about saying the “right” words.
“Father, if you just help me this once, I promise…”
No. That’s not power. That’s desperation. And God doesn’t respond to desperation. God responds to boldness. To faith. To action.
The Two Types of Prayer You Need to Know
There are only two types of prayer that matter:
1. Spontaneous Prayer
This is what you do throughout the day: walking, driving, or before a meeting.
You say, “God, guide me.” Simple. Direct. No theatrics.
2. Scheduled (Secluded) Prayer
This is when you sit down, undistracted. Just you and God. You don’t need a special room a chair and a closed door work fine.
It’s not about rituals. It’s about connection.
Stop Trying to Manipulate God
You can’t manipulate God with your emotions or perfect phrasing. He already knows your heart. Stop performing. Start talking.
Here’s how I start every prayer:
“My Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name…”
Then I go straight into what’s really on my heart. No filter. No begging. Just boldly talking to a friend. And I thank Him, because gratitude always comes before the ask.
Pray From Connection, Not For Connection
Most people treat prayer like a Wi-Fi signal they only connect when they need something.
“Please help me get this job.”
“Please fix my marriage.”
“Please, God, give me a sign.”
But real prayer flows from connection. You don’t pray to connect with God, you pray because you’re already connected.
Faith is the default. If you’re walking in faith, you’re walking with God.
How Prayer Made Me More Successful
I’ve made money, traveled the world, and built a following, not just because I “worked hard.” But because I walk in boldness.
I don’t ask God for confidence. I thank Him for it. I don’t beg for money. I thank Him for the mindset to attract it. I don’t plead for favor. I walk knowing I’m already favored.
And that’s how I win.
Real confidence comes from God, not mindset hacks.
Stop Being a Slave. Start Acting Like a Son.
If you’ve accepted Christ, you’re not some lowly slave begging for crumbs.
You’re a child of God, an heir to His glory.
Stop walking around like a spiritual orphan. God doesn’t want groveling. He wants relationship.
For reference, Matthew 6:6 perfectly explains this.

Final Thoughts
Most people beg God out of fear. Few talk to God with confidence. If you understand that you’re already accepted, already favored, and already capable everything changes.
Faith isn’t about begging. It’s about knowing.
